Fuente de Vida started as a preschool with one teacher is a little
wooden house. By God’s
blessing they were able to have a 1st grade the next year and
increase slowly to include all the grades.
Thanks to the LACC and a team from the states, they were able to
build their school building to provide a good learning environment.
The students of this school have gone to the Math Olympics for
three years now and placed 2nd in their region.
They have also received recognition for their education on
environmental responsibility.
The neighborhood in which it is located in Managua is very poor and many
drug. At times, drug deals
can be seen being made in daytime from the windows of the school.
Being in this dangerous area has limited their enrollment, but it
is a ministry for the church as they have seen many parents who are drug
users or dealers come to Christ through their children.
It is the schools vision is to reach children for Christ and through
them to reach the parents.
They would also love to see improvements to the school like more
computers to meet the needs of the students and a library.
